Best Answer: The main problem is that charging EVs is time-consuming. While drivers nowadays are accustomed to filling their gas tank or fuel tank in five minutes or less, EVs, depending on the scope and specifications of the battery, often take at least 30-40 minutes to charge to 80 percent at the fastest charging stations available.
Still, some research is being conducted on fast-charging stations and solar EVs.
